A wide range of food and grocery items to help people in the local community manage their budgets.

Community Pantry

Yateley Industries opened their Community Pantry in March 2021.  The pantry is located at Mill Lane, Yateley.

The Community Pantry is funded by Hampshire County Council and Hart District Council. It has been set up to help families and individuals who need extra support to manage their budget by providing food, grocery, and some hygiene/cleaning items at reduced prices.

The aim is to encourage local residents to visit the pantry where shoppers will find a range of fresh, frozen and general foods available on a weekly basis.

Membership is available to anyone who needs it.  Shoppers pay a £5 membership per visit and can choose food, grocery, and hygiene/cleaning items worth at least £15, although this is often much more.

Community Pantries provides a service to help people manage their budget and get back on their feet.  This complements food banks who can provide provisions in emergency for people in crisis.

As a member of the pantry people can access the

following for the membership fee of £5 per visit:

  • A number of store cupboard items, fridge and freezer items and hygiene/cleaning products
  • Fresh fruit, veg, salad and bread (Items vary each week)
  • Support and signposting to other support where required
  • On special occasions we sometimes have additional items to provide our members e.g., Easter eggs
  • If someone is struggling for cooking equipment, we also have other items available to be given to members in need.
  • The pantry is open 10am until 2pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

Food is donated from local supermarkets and organisations and the pantry is staffed by our team of wonderful volunteers from the local community.
