Stefan Conquers The Great Wall Marathon for Yateley Industries!
Our supporters never shy away from a challenge – and Stefan has just proven that in the most incredible way! On 17th May, he successfully completed the Great Wall Marathon in China – one of the toughest endurance events in the world – all to raise funds for Yateley Industries.
This was no ordinary marathon. Stefan faced a course packed with rugged terrain, steep climbs, and an unbelievable 5,164 steps – tackling the Great Wall twice, from east to west and back again. The challenge began with a gruelling 4km uphill climb to reach the Wall, followed by a demanding 3km section across crumbling stone steps, narrow garrisons, and the infamous “Goat Track”, a 700m near-vertical descent that tested every muscle.
It was the equivalent of running a marathon and climbing Ben Nevis in one day – and Stefan did it!
Thanks to his incredible effort and the generosity of supporters, Stefan raised over £1,000 for Yateley Industries! Every penny will help us continue providing meaningful work, housing, and opportunities for disabled adults — making a real difference in people’s lives.
A huge thank you and congratulations to Stefan for completing this once-in-a-lifetime challenge and for raising vital funds to support our community.
