Housing & Independence
A place to live, grow, and belong
At Yateley Industries, housing is not separate from the rest of life. It is the foundation that makes independence, work, and community possible.
We provide long-term supported housing for disabled adults as part of our wider charitable mission; creating stability, choice and dignity in a safe and connected environment.
Our homes
Yateley Industries is the landlord for a community of disabled adults living on our site. Our accommodation is provided as supported housing, enabling people to live as independently as possible with the reassurance of nearby support.
Residents have their own tenancies and homes, with shared spaces that encourage connection, routine and belonging.
Unlike many providers, we do not operate under local authority housing contracts. Our housing has grown organically from our purpose as a charity - shaped by the needs of residents rather than by commissioning structures.
Support, not control
Living at Yateley Industries is about independence with reassurance, not supervision.
We provide intensive housing management and on-site support, helping residents with things like:
-
Maintaining their home and tenancy
-
Managing day-to-day living
-
Feeling safe and secure
-
Accessing opportunities across the Yateley Industries community
Where personal care is required, optional domiciliary care can be arranged according to individual needs and preferences.
This clear separation between housing, support and care ensures that people retain choice, autonomy and control over their lives.
Stability that supports independence
For many disabled adults, instability in housing can make progress in other areas of life impossible.
At Yateley Industries, long-term housing provides the stability that allows people to:
-
Build confidence and routines
-
Take part in paid work or training
-
Develop independent living skills
-
Form friendships and community connections
-
Plan for the future
Housing is not the end of the journey, housing is the platform from which independence grows.
An integrated community
What makes Yateley Industries unique is the way housing connects to every other part of our offer.
Residents can move seamlessly between:
-
Their home
-
Meaningful, paid work
-
Learning and skills development
-
Social and community activities
-
Shared spaces that bring disabled and non-disabled people together
This integrated model reflects our founding vision: that disabled people should not be separated from everyday life but fully included within it.
Sustainability and the future
We have provided housing and intensive housing management as part of our charitable mission for many years, often without this work being fully recognised or funded.
As the housing landscape changes, we are working to ensure our model remains:
-
Financially sustainable
-
High quality
-
Resident-led
-
Fit for the future
This includes formalising and strengthening the housing management we already provide, so that residents can continue to rely on safe, stable homes for years to come.
Who our housing is for
Our supported housing is for disabled adults who want:
-
A stable, long-term home
-
Independence with access to support
-
A connection to work, learning and community
-
A place where everyone is known, valued and included
We welcome conversations with individuals, families and professionals who want to understand whether Yateley Industries is the right fit.
