Working here
At Yateley Industries, we provide meaningful, paid work for disabled adults who face barriers to traditional employment in hospitality in our community cafe and then packing, fulfilment and light assembly in our supported factory. . In addition, we offer job coaching, placements and internships to help young disabled adults transition successfully into adulthood and the workforce.
Our work delivers measurable, life-changing outcomes for both disabled people and the wider local community. We provide a supportive environment for individuals to begin and develop their employment journey - gaining valuable skills, references, confidence and friends along the way.
Many people we support are disabled or have experienced trauma, distress, or complex life circumstances. Many struggle to access work experience or employment. Most are unsure how to take their next steps and lack the confidence or support to enter mainstream settings.
We help each person build practical employment skills alongside confidence, resilience, and positive relationships. For many, it’s the first time they’ve felt trusted or valued in a workplace-like setting. Some progress to paid work or volunteering; all gain a stronger sense of purpose and self-belief.
G's Story
Before joining Yateley Industries as a paid factory employee, G (a young man with a learning disability) had tried placements at Tesco, a charity shop and through The Prince’s Trust but found none of them suitable or sustainable.
We then struck gold and stumbled upon Yateley Industries. It's provided a place of employment where nowhere else was suitable. G looks forward to work every week. He now speaks confidently and clearly at dinner and takes pride in what he does. These are all new skills for G, but ones we all love to see.
G now has a strong sense of belonging and increased confidence. He adds: “It has made me more confident, self-sufficient, and sociable. I’ve gained lots of friends. I like the consistency and variety of tasks. It’s something I can depend on. I would recommend it to anyone.”
Yateley Industries is not just a service provider; we are a platform for possibility and progression, enabling disabled people to move from dependence to agency while creating a stronger, more compassionate local community for everyone.
